You can bet the Fountain of Youth Stakes online at BetPhoenix, which features a 15 percent rebate on weekly losses.

This race is an important prep for the upcoming Kentucky Derby and in fact has resulted in three winners going on to win both the Derby and Preakness and another winning the Derby and Belmont Stakes.

This year’s favorite to win the Fountain of Youth Stakes is one Mohaymen, coming in at 6-5 odds.  Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin believes this will be his biggest challenge thus far.

"There are some quality horses in the race," McLaughlin said. "This is his toughest test so far, to me."

Mohaymen won the 1-1/8-mile Remsen at Aqueduct back in November and dominated his rivals in the Holy Bull, a race that had the same distance as Saturday’s Fountain of Youth, 1-1/16 miles.

Other odds of winning Saturday’s Fountain of Youth Stakes include:

Fellowship 20-1

Awesome Banner 7-2

Zulu 3-1

Awesome Speed 4-1

Golden Ray 30-1

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
