The odds of Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming winning the 2017 Preakness Stakes were set at -123.  He is the odds-on favorite.

Trainer Todd Pletcher says Always Dreaming is “ready to stretch his neck” at the Preakness.

“He’s shown us everything we were hoping for leading us back in two weeks,” Pletcher said Thursday morning. “Tank seems full. He seems eager to go. We’re just trying to keep him on the ground one more day.”

The track conditions are expected to be dry, unlike the slop Always Dreaming won on in the Kentucky Derby.
