At some online sportsbooks Quality Road came in at single digit odds.  Sports Interaction, however, had him at +1200 heading into Thursday for a payout potential of $1200 on every $100 bet

You might recall that Quality Road was the leader of the 3-year-old division before being sidelined by a foot injury in the weeks leading up to the Kentucky Derby

Trained by Jimmy Jerkens, Quality Road raced in Florida in early 2009 where his wins in the Fountain of Youth Stakes and Grade 1 Florida Derby made him a favorite for the Kentucky Derby.

As of August 29th 2009, Quality Road finished a decent third place finish to Summer Bird in the annual Travers Stakes.

Quality Road followed that on October 10 and placed a very game second to rival Summer Bird in the Jockey Gold Cup.

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
