My Man Sam post position draw landed him in the number six post position with 20-1 odds.
This is one of the worst starting positions when one looks upon history with just two Kentucky Derby wins and none since 1999. That’s a 2.3 winning percentage.
Trainer Chad Brown seemed content at least.
“I was looking for an inside post with My Man Sam so six will work just fine,” he said.
My Man Sam finished 2nd in his only Grade 1 race at the Blue Grass Stakes.
