An even odds favorite at some books, Justify has won the 2018 Belmont Stakes and the Triple Crown, becoming the 13th horse to do so in over a century and making trainer Bob Baffert the first trainer ever to have won two Triple Crowns.  SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE

Gronkowski came in 2nd and was one of the long shots, Hofburg came in 3rd.

Baffert won the Triple Crown with American Pharoah three years.  There had not been a Triple Brown winner in nearly 40 years prior to that victory.

The track was baked dry by sunny skies and 80-degree weather. Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Justify won the first two legs on sloppy tracks.

Horse Racing Odds – 2021 Belmont Stakes Longshots

The third jewel of horse racing’s Triple Crown takes place Saturday with a field of eight horses set to take their shot in the Belmont Stakes. Opening odds for the 153rd edition suggest a wide-open field, which in turn can lead to an upset special. The number of longshots is diminished by the small field, but like we saw in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, anything can happen.
