How Much Would Justify Pay Out on a Bet to Win the Belmont Stakes?

As the favorite to win the 2018 Belmont Stakes, and quite possibly become only the lucky 13th horse to win a Triple Crown, Justify would pay out $10 for every $15 bet.  Assuming he wins, one would have their $15 bet refunded along with the $10 profit.  A $150 bet pays $100.  Same thing, the $150 bet would be returned assuming that Justify wins.

"This horse is starting to act like Pharoah," said Baffert of Justify, which recently became the first Derby winner in 136 years that did not to race as a two-year-old.

"I think I see a lot of resemblance in these two, the way they move ... When I worked him after the Preakness, American Pharoah, when he would breathe, he was like he was a machine. And this horse is getting there."

Justify could potentially run a third race in the mud should early long range forecasts hold up.  As of Tuesday, there was a 60% chance of steady rain Saturday evening right around race time.

Justify will have to contend with three well rested entries.  Gronkowski, Blended Citizen and Restoring Hope have yet to run in either of the first two Triple Crown races.  Of these, Blended Citizen had the shortest odds of winning the Belmont Stakes at 18-1.

Only Bravado and Tenfold (the 2nd and 3rd place Preakness Stakes finishers, respectively) ran in the last Triple Crown race.

Hofburg, Noble Indy, Free Drop Billy and Vino Rosso each took the 2nd leg of the race off.
