Friday Morning Preakness Stakes 2017 Odds: Always Dreaming Better Payout

With the Friday morning odds for the 2017 Preakness Stakes, the one thing that stands out for us is that Always Dreaming required a slightly reduced risk at -123, down from -140.

What this means is that, instead of having to drop $14 on the Kentucky Derby winner to profit $10, you would only need to bet $12.30.  This really saves when moving into the hundred dollar increments and beyond.  Only $123 will need to be wagered to win $100 as opposed to $140 prior.  Remember, the initial bet is refunded assuming Always Dreaming wins.

Classic Empire saw his odds cut slightly from 3-1 to +270, as such, the payout would be $27 on a $10 bet as opposed to $30 previously.

The only other horse in single digit odds was Cloud Computing at 9-1.
