The Forego Stakes, also known as the Forego Handicap, is run on 7 furlongs on dirt at Saratoga Racetrack.  There will be a $250,000 purse on this race.

Shackleford is a bona fide star who won last year’s Preakness Stakes, becoming the beneficiary of the largest payoff purse in Preakness history.  He also finished 4th last year at the Kentucky Derby.
