Conquest Mo Money Among Top 2017 Preakness Contenders

Conquest Mo Money is seen as one of the more viable contenders in a Preakness Stakes race that, until now, seems to be all about Always Dreaming.

So far, he’s looked great in pre-Preakness warmups and was the 2nd place finisher at the most recent and all-important Kentucky Derby prep race, the Arkansas Derby.

He’ll have fresh legs after bypassing the Kentucky Derby two weeks ago and comes into this race with 16-1 odds.

Tom McKenna, the 81-year-old first-time owner of a classic racehorse, said of his challenger to the Kentucky Derby winner, Always Dreaming, “This was God’s gift to us, Conquest Mo Money.” McKenna added: “He brought us here. We’re going to see what he can do. I think he’ll present himself very well at Pimlico.”

In addition to the Arkansas Derby 2nd place finish, Conquest Mo Money also finished 2nd in the Sundland Derby in March after winning his three previous races.
