Considering how superb California Chrome ran in the Kentucky Derby, it’s pretty amazing he is being listed early as a -120 favorite to win the Preakness StakesLock in this number here now as it is sure to change.

Remember, this is an early price.  Gambling911.com believes these odds are likely to go towards -200 as we approach the Preakness, especially when there is only one contender with single digits odds (Danza at 6/1).

The good news for California Chrome fans is that the surprise horse to finish second at this past weekend’s Kentucky Derby, Commanding Curve, will skip the Preakness Stakes race and focus on the Belmont Stakes instead.

California Chrome won this year’s Kentucky Derby by 1 3/4 lengths.

His odds of winning the Triple Crown were 2/1.

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
