Brody’s Cause odds of winning the 2016 Kentucky Derby were relatively short at 10-1 with only three other contenders priced under this number.

Brody’s Cause is the winner of both the Breeders Futurity and his most recent race, the Blue Grass Stakes. He had one poor outing before that running in the Tampa Bay Derby and finishing 7th.
He is trained by Dale Romans, who returns to the Kentucky Derby for the 6th time in seven years.
One of the advantages Brody’s Cause will have is his ability to run at Churchill Downs.
“You can check all the boxes with this one,” Romans said. “He’s run well over this racetrack, his pedigree and his races say he can handle the mile and a quarter, and he’s run in big fields. Plus, he’s as fit as I can get him, and I love how he’s doing.”
