Heading into the 2016 Kentucky Derby, Nyquist continued to be favored with the best payout odds available at 3-1 at BetOnline, which also offers 7 percent rebates (losses back) and a $25 risk free wager.
Nyquist odds had fallen below 2.5/1 at some books.
Nyquist owner Paul Reddam continued to exude confidence heading into today’s big race.
"As a gambler, if it wasn't our horse, I'd be looking for reasons to beat him," Reddam said.
"I think he's going to go from the gate and he'll take a look and if everybody is going he'll find a spot," Reddam added. "If for whatever reason they miss and he ends up on the lead, then so be it. Personally, I've watched a lot of Derbies and it's a very hard race to win wire to wire."
There is plenty of reason to be optimistic over Nyquist. He is yet to lose a race in any of his starts thus far.
