The best odds on Mine That Bird to win the 2009 Preakness Stakes can be found at Sportsinteraction.com.

"We're talking a $750 payout for every $100 bet compared to $500 at some online sportsbooks," commented Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com. 

Due to the late entry of filly Rachel Alexandra, this year's Kentucky Derby winner as been relegated to much longer odds.

"At +750 odds, Mine That Bird is coming into this one as a pretty big underdog now," Shapiro added.

This horse is certainly used to the underdog status.  He came into the 2009 Kentucky Derby as a 100/1 long shot at Sportsinteraction.com, which informed Gambling911.com they had paid around 200 bets on Mine That Bird after the race.  Most were small wagers, however.

Racing in the United States at age three for new trainer Chip Woolley, in his 2009 debut on February 28, Mine That Bird finished second in the Borderland Derby and on March 29 had a fourth-place finish in the Sunland Derby. However, based on his career earnings in graded stakes races, he qualified as one of the twenty Kentucky Derby starters. Trainer Chip Woolley loaded Mine That Bird into a horse trailer attached to his pickup truck, and drove 1,700 miles over 21 hours from New Mexico to get to the big race.

Jon Rahm Surges at PGA Championship

Jon Rahm was going for his third major win at the 107th PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. He played great, proving he’s ready to be a top golfer again.
