| 12 | Chief Wallabee | Bill Mott | Junior Alvarado | 8-1 |

| 18 | Further Ado | Brad Cox | John Velazquez Jr. | 6-1 |
| 19 | Golden Tempo | Cherie DeVaux | Jose Ortiz | 30-1 |
| 20 | Fulleffort | Brad Cox | Tyler Gaffalione | 20-1 |
Four horses are also eligible if others are scratched leading up to Saturday’s race. Great White, Ocelli, Robusta, and Corona de Oro are all priced at 50-1.
The best post position is the No. 5 spot, currently occupied by Right to Party. At 30-1 odds, there is obviously some great value here for the post position start alone. Keep in mind these post positions are subject to change in the event a horse is scratched.
The No. 5 starting post has 10+ wins.
The No. 10 spot also has 10+ wins. Wonder Dean starts from here, also with 30-1 odds.
The outside spot No. 1 is dreaded by most trainers. One of the favorites, Renegade, starts from the No. 1 spot this year.
No. 17 is the so-called "Kentucky Derby Curse". Its streak of zero winners finally ended in 2022 when Rich Strike shocked the field at 80–1 odds. Six Speed is the biggest long shot at 50-1 starting this year in that post position.
