The 2018 Kentucky Derby will be all about the "Apollo Curse" with both affected horses listed among the favorites.

Justify is the early 7-2 favorite for Saturday's 144th Run for the Roses with just three starts on his resume.

Justify, along with undefeated Magnum Moon, didn't race as 2-year-olds. They'll be trying to disprove an old jinx: No horse since Apollo in 1882 has won without racing as a juvenile.

History would also be written if Ireland-based Mendelssohn pulls off a victory. No European colt has ever won the Derby.

The forecast calls for a chance of rain at various times Saturday.

Solomini, Instilled Regard, Bolt d’Oro, Vino Rosso and Bravazo can all run on a wet track.  Bravazo is the biggest long shot at 66-1 odds and a victory by this horse could prove to be among the highest paying in Derby history.

Post time is 6:46 p.m. ET.
