2017 Belmont Stakes Mudders Include Lookin At Lee With Slight Chance of Rain

A stray shower or thunderstorm remained in the forecast for Saturday’s Belmont Stakes race.  Rain chances were at 20 percent as of Thursday afternoon.  Live odds were available here

While the chances remain slight, this time of year a stray thunderstorm is capable of dumping a significant enough amount of rain to soak a racetrack.  As such one will want to know the horses capable of running in the mud coming into Saturday’s Belmont Stakes.

Lookin At Lee finished a strong second in the slop of the Kentucky Derby and can certainly be classified as a mudder as a result.

Classic Empire was another mudder that has since been scratched from this race.

Gamblers may wish to consider placing wagers the afternoon of this race to have a better grasp of the weather scenario the hours leading up to post time.
