The 2016 Breeders Cup Classic will feature plenty of sunshine with a zero percent chance of rain Saturday.  Look for entrants that run best on dirt, or better yet, avoid those that have never run on or have run poorly on such a surface.

Found was expected to be running her first race on dirt at this year’s Breeders Cup Classic but instead was moved to the Breeders Cup Turf at 2-1 odds.

“Obviously it’s an unknown, she hasn’t raced on the dirt before,” said trainer Aidan O’Brien of the potential to run her in the Classic, “But it’s very possible that the lads will let her take her chance.”

California Chrome, the 4-5 favorite, has plenty of experience running on dirt with great success including a 2014 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes victory.

Frosted, at 4-1 odds, was being targeted for the Dirt Mile because….yes….he can run well on dirt.

Nyquist can certainly run well on dirt.  He was victorious at this year’s Kentucky Derby.

Shaman Ghost has performed well on dirt.

Melatonin won his first race on dirt.

California Chrome -110

Arrogate 3-1

Frosted 4-1

Melatonin 9-1

Effinex 15-1

Hoppertunity 15-1

Keen Ice 20-1

Shaman Ghost 20-1

War Story 35-1

Win the Space 35-1
