2016 Belmont Stakes Afternoon Odds: Exaggerator Now at 2-1 Odds

Despite having won the 2016 Preakness and his ability to run in the muck, Exaggerator’s odds of winning Saturday’s Belmont Stakes were actually getting longer with the potential for nearly $20 being paid out on every $10 bet.

Destin’s odds meanwhile had dropped a whole point from this morning (8-1 to 7-1).

Cherry Wine, who also proved he could run in the mud of the Preakness Stakes, was seeing steady odds of 14-1.

While much of the heavy weather activity had moved off the Long Island Eastern coastline, scattered rain was reported around the Elmont, New York area with a swath of heavier showers likely around 5:15 pm EST.  Whether it will be enough rain to soak the track remains to be seen.
