The Iowa Hawkeyes are listed as a +2.5 road dog despite their 9-2 record Straight Up against a Nebraska Huskers team that is just 5-6.

What's at Stake?

The Cornhuskers are one game away from bowl eligibility, the first time they might qualify since 2016.

Iowa (9-2, 6-2) has already wrapped up the Big Ten's West Division title and a spot in the conference title game Dec. 2 in Indianapolis.

It goes without saying the team with the most motivation, at least in theory, should be Nebraska in this one.

We get a number of Hawkeyes 4.52.  The wrong team is favored and there is an overlay of 7.

The motivation factor scares us a bit but dogs tend to perform quite well when there are overlays in the 2.5/3 range, especially when the wrong team is favored.

Prior to Nebraska winning last year, Iowa had won the previous seven in this series.

Action is balanced.

Passing Yard Prop Bets

Chubba Purdy's passing yard total is posted at Over/Under 126.5.

The Nebraska QB last week became the third different starter.  His desperation pass was intercepted on the last play of overtime. Purdy picked up 105 yards on 14 carries with a 55-yard touchdown despite a groin injury.

Deacon Hill of the Hawkeyes is expected to have less passing yards than Purdy at 124.4.
