William Hill Set to Return to Profit Following Online Overhaul

The online bookmaker William Hill has improved some of its website features and anticipates a return back into the black as a result.

Chief executive Philip Bowcock has been trying to improve the quality of its online business to make it more appealing to users, according to the London Telegraph.

Forecasts now are calling for a rise in adjusted earnings to roughly £290m for 2017, up from £261m a year ago.

A number of heavily favored Premier League teams were also held to draws during the month of December, which should also contribute to the anticipated favourable results.

On the negative side, the United Kingdom is currently reviewing advserse affects of profitable fixed-odds terminals with speculation that maximum stakes could be slashed from £100, at present, down to £2.
