Sports gambling is rapidly gaining popularity in the U.S. It involves forecasting the results of a certain game and wagering on its outcome. States that have Legalized Sports Gambling

Sports betting is legal in the following states:

  1. Mississippi

MGM Resorts opened two casinos in Mississippi in August 2018. The Mississippi Gaming Commission set regulations which required punters to wager in-person rather than placing stakes online.

  1. West Virginia

West Virginia legalized sports betting on August 30, 2018. Penn National opened the first casino in the state shortly after the state's legislature approved the new gambling bill.   1. Arkansas

Arkansas passed the ‘Issue 4 ‘amendment to allow sports gambling in four counties. The voters legalized casino gaming and they set up the Arkansas Racing Commission to regulate gambling.

  1. Pennsylvania

Gov. Tom Wolf legalized sports gambling in Pennsylvania in November 2017. The Hollywood Casino started operating a year later. There are several bookies in the state. You can play DFS and online poker in Pennsylvania.

Also, there are numerous bills countrywide regarding gambling. Sports gambling is legal in ten states while 19 states have started its legalization process.
