Tyreek Hill

Recently released by the Miami Dolphins, the next whereabouts of wide receiver Tyreek Hill currently remains a great offseason in the NFL.

What’s Next for Tyreek Hill?

Immediately after the Miami Dolphins slogged through a 7-10 season in 2025, it was abundantly clear that a delousing needed to happen. Miami fired its coach and began to retool its roster. Going 15-19 and missing the playoffs the past two seasons has that effect.

Among the big names in the ‘used to be a Dolphin’ camp is/was the Cheetah. wide receiver Tyreek Hill. An eight-time Pro Bowl selection, Hill completed his fourth season with the Fish, then was released in mid-February in a move that saved Miami more than $22 million in salary.

Hill will turn 32 in March, coming off a left-knee injury-shortened (four games) 2025 to boot. That’s not to suggest he didn’t have his moments in South Florida after a Tyreek Hill trade by the Kansas City Chiefs. There was a Dolphin debut (2022) of 119 receptions, more than 1,700 yards, and seven touchdowns; add another 119 catches in 2023 (league-leading figures of 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns).

Production fell to 81 catches (959 yards) in 2024 before the aforementioned washout of 2025, which culminated with a failed physical.

That doesn’t mean Hill won’t have his share of suitors. NFL newshas the Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Chargers, and Buffalo Bills among those with a passing interest, while a return to the Chiefs (and a recovering quarterback, Patrick Mahomes) is also a scenario with intrigue.

Looking under the category of ‘Tyreek Hill Next Team’ and BetUS has Kansas City as the tepid 3-1 (+300) favorite. That’s just ahead of the Bills at 4-1 (+400), while the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, and New York Giants are each at 5-1 (+500).

So, no ‘change of venue’ shortage with Hill, according to NFL odds.

Here’s a bit of a primer on Tyreek Hill and where his next home might be…

Why Did the Dolphins Release Tyreek Hill?

There’s no offseason when it comes to NFL rumors, and the relocation of perennial All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill is at the top of that list. Hill was released by the Miami Dolphins after a truncated 2025 season, which ended with a torn ACL this past September.

He failed a subsequent physical and was released. It’s not every day that an eight-time Pro Bowler (145NFL games) hits the market with 819 career receptions and 83 touchdowns.

Who Could Trade for Tyreek Hill?

It wouldn’t be a trade. Hill was released by the Miami Dolphins after a failed physical, making him a free agent. As was mentioned, Tyreek HIll stats make him (when healthy) one of the more lethal receivers in the National Football League.

However, no longer a spring chicken at 32 (this March) and working his way back after an injury-shortened season means Hill is no doubt going to have to accept a contract with higher performance incentives and a lower base salary.

Did Tyreek Hill Request a Trade?

Hill didn’t request his Miami Dolphins discharge certificate. Rather, he had nothing but good things to say about the organization and its fans in his farewell post. It won’t be aTyreek Hill tradeas his next transaction, but a move via free agency.

Any Final Thoughts?

As any number of teams in the NFL want at wide receiver, it’s not if Tyreek Hill gets another chance, but rather which venue he sees as his best fit in 2026. There are storylines with quite a few potential landing spots, including whether he unites/reunites with proven quarterbacks (Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes) or perhaps becomes the initial pro target of presumptive first overall selection Fernando Mendoza with the Las Vegas Raiders.
