Clemson is back! Maybe.
So they went 9-3 in the regular season, beating Iowa State in their bowl game, but that was considered a bust for Clemson.
You could not get a feel for just how badly this team underperformed without first digging deep into their record Against The Spread. The Tigers started the season 0-7 ATS.
Clemson is supposed to get better. Assuming that's the case, they should win at least 10 regular season games. The total is set at 10.5 and the OVER is favored at -130.
Head coach Dabo Swinney believes the Tigers currently have the best quarterback room since he's been at Clemson. They have six on the roster.
"I mean we've never had a quarterback room like this," Swinney said. "I have never gone into a fall camp with a quarterback room like we have on this team. I mean I'm, I'm super excited about it."
Clemson had the 4th shortest odds to win it all at 12-1.
What to Know Before You Bet Clemson Tigers Futures
- DJ Uiagalelei and Cade Klubnik sit atop the QB depth chart and will be vying for the starting job.
- Uiagalelei threw for 781 and four touchdowns with no picks with two rushing touchdowns as a freshman vs. Boston College and Notre Dame.
- The offensive line is full of veterans.
- The defense should be stellar.
- Going to Notre Dame is tough, but there’s a week off to get ready for it.
- NC State can't be taken for granted, even at home. In addition to Notre Dame, this is the one where Clemson probably will not be a double digit favorite.
- Oddsmakers are pretty certain that Clemson will take care of business versus NC State, then they can afford a loss to Notre Dame. Using last year's ratings, Gambling911.com has Clemson as a -6 point favorite versus the Wolfpack, but that number is likely going to be greater with the belief that the Tigers improve over last year. NC State should be just as good, if not better though.
