Utah Valley is the 10/11 favorite to win the WAC Tournament at BetOnline.

The Utah Valley men's and women's Wolverines basketball teams will be able to play in their conference tournaments after paying a  $1 million exit fee to the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).

Utah Valley announced it will leave the WAC and join the Big West Conference starting in the 2026–27 academic year. Like many conferences, the WAC requires schools that leave to pay an exit fee—in this case $1 million.

The conference threatened to ban both the men’s and women’s teams from their respective tournaments if they did not pay before 5 p.m. MDT on Tuesday.

The WAC issued the following statement:

Utah Valley's men's basketball team is the No. 1 seed in this week's WAC tournament. The women’s team is the No. 4 seed.

This will be the first time Utah Valley plays in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
