FanDuel Resolves Glitch That Mistook Real Humans for Bots
Many FanDuel customers were left scratching their heads when a message appeared asking them to verify they were human, only to let said customers know they were not.
"Access to the website has been denied because we believe you are using automation tools to browse the website".
In the end, this turned out to be a glitch on FanDuel's side and resolved within three hours....but not before some of the damage was already done.
"So rattled my fd was down last night I had 3 like this solids cashouts and couldn’t log in scamduel!! They should return all bets from yesterday you guys are brutal."
"Yea I lost big money on cashouts because of course the site is working as soon as the cashouts are no longer available."
No word yet on what caused the glitch.
4874 impressions were recorded during this period at the Gambling911.com website related to the FanDuel glitch. Good thing this wasn't a big betting night (as is the case Saturday with UFC 317 and the Jake Paul vs. Cesar Chavez Jr. fight).
GoFundMe Account Set Up for Sports Betting Luminary Dave Sharapan After Receiving Cancer Diagnosis
Beloved professional sports bettor Dave Sharapan, known affectionately as the Sportsbook Consigliere, is set to undergo cancer surgery this coming week at the UCLA Medical Center. The recovery time will likely put Dave out of commission for some time.
He announced his diagnosis this past week via Twitter (X).
The devastating news comes five years after Sharapan suffered a stroke during the Covid-19 pandemic that left him comatose for a number of weeks. He would ultimately recover.
The GoFundMe for Sharapan was set up - and promoted - by industry colleagues.
