1. WNBA Dildo Betting (56785 Impressions This Week)

It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Gambling911.com has had so much coverage involving the great sex toy tossing at WNBA games and the prop bets tied to this phenomenon, it's no wonder we'd be seeing such a massive number of impressions for this one story.

For the cliffsnotes version: It all began with a dildo being thrown onto the court of a WNBA game.  Our friends at BetOnline got the brilliant idea to begin offering odds on the color of the next dildo thrown onto the court of a WNBA game.  It happened days later, then again, and again.  This culminated in at least one arrest, then another.

Throughout this ordeal, WNBA players have mostly expressed outrage.

“They lucky they ain’t throw no dildo last night, I was gone pick that b**** up and throw it right at him.": Minnesota Lynx guard Courtney Williams said of the WNBA dildo mayhem.

In New York the other night, an individual wearing a Beavis & Butthead shirt was seen on video hurling a sex toy during the Liberty vs. Wings game.  That dildo nearly hit a 12-year-old girl.  He is being sought by the police.

BetOnline continues to offer betting on all things WNBA dildos.

4. NEW - The Coney Casino Pitch, One of Eight Projects Vying for Just Three Casino Licenses (10793 Impressions)

The New York Gaming Facility Location Board is set to decide on the three winning bids for casino licenses in downstate NY by December 1st, and eight projects are in the running, including the Coney Island 'Coney' project. The Coney recently presented its bid to the appointed local committee and must receive a minimum of four positive votes from the six committee members by the 30th of September if it is to move on to the next stage.

The state has 13 retail casino operations and a further 21 tribal casinos, but does not currently offer licensed online casino betting despite its successful online sports betting industry. Online gambling expert Charlie Pearson, who provides insights on US casinos, explains that offshore alternatives are proving popular among consumers looking for legal ways to place bets.

5. Ohio Player Prop Bet Ban Fears (10735 Impressions This Week)

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine demanded requested it and now the Casino Control Commission is in the process of drafting a rule to prohibit some player prop bets.

“The Commission is currently drafting a rule to prohibit player-specific micro wagers,” Assistant General Counsel Caty Abbott told Legal Sports Report Friday. “When we believe we have a draft that will accomplish that, then the Commission will follow the statutory process for rule promulgation.”

Microbetting player prop bets are very short-term, event-specific wagers tied to an individual player's performance.

DeWine noted the ongoing investigation into two Cleveland Guardians pitchers who potentially broke MLB sports betting rules in his request.

Rep. Brian Stewart (R-Ashville) said prop bets should not be banned in Ohio

“Ohio legalized sports betting with bipartisan support,” Steward wrote in a post on X. “It’s a popular activity that adults should be free to enjoy. Prop bets are a big part of that plus they make up a substantial % of Ohio’s tax revenue. They should not be banned & I’ll be working to make sure they aren’t.”

Stewart said Ohio has made $359 million in state tax revenue on sports gaming since January 2023.

Stewart also replied that he would like to see prop bets be allowed for college sports again, but said he doesn’t see that happening with the “current leadership in the executive branch.”

“I think it’s a bit silly that Ohio State’s QB can be paid more than $1 million each season but you can’t bet $5 on whether he throws 1 touchdown or 2,” he said in a follow-up social media post.

6. Dolidze vs. Hernandez Payout Odds - UFC Fight Night August 9 (8677Impressions)

Up from 5106 impressions with our last Top 10 review and up a notch from No. 6.

It wasn't one of the bigger headliners in the world of UFC, but just goes to show how prominent a sport this is among Gambling911 readers.

Official Result courtesy of UFC.com: Anthony Hernandez defeats Roman Dolidze by submission (rear naked choke) at 2:45 of Round 4

Anthony Hernandez mugged Roman Dolidze to close out Saturday’s fight card at the UFC APEX, using his constant pressure and menacing pace to torment and finish the Georgian middleweight.

This was “Fluffy” at his absolute best, taking the fight to Dolidze every second, chipping away with small shots until he could land bigger shots and truly punish his opponent. The longer the fight went, the more Hernandez dominated, repeatedly leaving Dolidze in a tired heap on the canvas and calling him back into the fray.

Late in the fourth round, Hernandez opened up with knees as Dolidze was along the fence, with the surging Californian opting to just latch onto his neck and squeeze out a finish as he dragged Dolidze back to his feet. Just a brilliant performance from the emerging middleweight contender, who has now won eight straight as he continues his march towards the top of the division.

7. Post Trade Favorites Odds for MLB Rookie of the Year Awards 2025 (7223 Impressions)

The NL MVP hasn’t changed since Day 1 of the season, and Nick Kurtz could go on the IL for the rest of the year and still take home Rookie of the Year honors.

SportsBetting.ag has made some recent changes to its NL ROY odds, as well as the two Manager of the Year categories.

After Jacob Misiorowski looked to be running away with NL ROY, he’s now fallen to fourth on the board. Drake Baldwin is up to -200, but Agustin Ramirez and Isaac Collins are now both listed at better than 6/1.

For the MOY award, John Schneider and Pat Murphy are currently the favorites. It’s worth noting that Schneider was one of the favorites to be the first manager fired during the preseason.

A.J. Hinch was among the favorites as well (9/1 odds to be fired first), and now he’s second on the AL MOY odds list.
