Mike Tomlin is going out on his own terms.
The coach who never had a losing season in 19 years as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers resigned from his post this afternoon.
At the start of the season, if you wanted to bet me that BOTH of the longest-tenured coaches in the NFL would not return the following season I would've given you pretty good odds…maybe even 15/1.
And I would've lost my shirt.
Perhaps Aaron Rodgers is right and that these happenings are "really apropos of where we’re at as a society and a league."
But…change is a good thing, and we can't wait to see who the Rooney family chooses to step into the legendary line of great Steelers football coaches.
The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag have been on top of every coaching change, and they are the first to post odds for Pittsburgh's next head man. Here you go:

NOTE: These odds were sent out BEFORE Mike Tomlin resigned this afternoon.
Last night’s demolition of the Pittsburgh Steelers could signal the end of Aaron Rodgers career as well as the end of Mike Tomlin’s tenure as the head coach of the Steelers.
Rodgers’ last playoff win came five years ago in the NFC Divisional Round over the Rams. He’s now 42 years old and he may need another ayahuasca retreat to determine his future.
Tomlin’s last playoff win was nine years ago. His Super Bowl win came 18 years ago during his second season.
He has lost seven straight playoff games, including three home games where they allowed a combined 123 points. They’ve lost those seven games by an average of 15 points per game.
The 19 years served is an eternity in the NFL, and Tomlin should be applauded for never having a losing season. But while the floor has been high for the Steelers under Tomlin, the ceiling has been low.

However, we do know that business is open for the Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans and the Brooklyn Nets. More specifically, Ja Morant, Zion Williamson and Michael Porter Jr.
Of the three, MPJ is having by far the best season, re-inventing himself in Brooklyn.
The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag have lines for where each player will go if traded before the deadline.
