Schenectady, NY (May 14, 2026) – Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady presented a check in the amount of $8,575.88 to Unity House of Troy, NY in support of the organization’s mission to provide services and advocacy for individuals and families facing a wide range of life challenges.
The donation was raised through the casino’s monthly Rivers Gives: Donations Make a Difference fundraiser, in which casino guests donate their chips, uncashed vouchers, and cash to support local nonprofit organizations and charitable causes throughout the Capital Region.
Unity House is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people living in poverty, adults with mental illness, victims of domestic violence, children with developmental delays and their families, people living with HIV/AIDS, and others whose needs can effectively be met through Unity House services and philosophy. Through direct services, advocacy, education, and collaboration, Unity House works to create awareness and advance social justice while helping individuals identify their strengths, access resources, and build brighter futures.
