The odds of prediction market Polymarket entering the US market have just gotten greater. We have all your latest headlines from the world of gambling and crypto below.
Polymarket is a competitor to Kalshi, the only legal prediction market in the United States.
Enter Donald Trump, Jr. He's the eldest son of US President Donald Trump, and he has now joined Polymarket as an advisor. He's also a partner at 1789 Capital, which itself just invested in Polymarket.
Trump, Jr. is already a strategic advisor for Kalshi.
Shayne Coplan, Founder and CEO of Polymarket, said in a press release:
“This strategic investment marks a significant milestone for Polymarket. Our long-term partnership with 1789 Capital will help reinforce Polymarket’s leading position as a trusted source of free, transparent and accurate market information in the U.S. and around the world.”

Trump Jr. has previously praised Polymarket as a "source of truth". The Trump family reportedly monitored Polymarket's political odds leading up to the November 2024 general elections. Polymarket had Trump favored to win the US presidential election.
