September 15, 2016 – UK-based Research firm Juniper says online gambling was set to approach $950 billion by 2021 and overall wagers will approach the same level as total spending on all digital goods and services, hitting $1 trillion that same year.  Mobile gambling has helped push more of the activity online in recent years.  And virtual reality is expected to be a driving force in the future.  Juniper found that a number of nations were creating new regulation while other countries are moving towards outright bans.
