The Blood Letting Continues

You know things are bad when the top sports betting affiliate sites are involved in mass layoffs smack dab in the middle of the college football and NFL seasons here in the U.S.

Gambling911.com is one of the few sites reporting on the bloodbath, maybe because we're the only one's left.  Our competition (in terms of quality writers) were all purged in one foul swoop.  It's not like we're exaggerating either.  We're like that roach you can't kill.

Trust us, the traffic has never been sicker!

Today we checked out what was one of the better sites that got caught up in the purge: The Action Network.  Check out these amazing "bonus code" stories.

What's more sad than all these talented writers being let go around the holiday season is the folks kissing up to those executives who had to make these "hard" decisions.  Maybe the decision was hard but they are certainly no heroes, so stop treating them that way.  The person who runs Gambling911.com could be a billionaire by now but he's not.  He drives a Hyundai for God's sake.

Perhaps if these folks weren't so busy selling out (we're looking at you SportsBookReview) and sucking up to shareholders (Better Collective) you'd all still have jobs right now.  But that train already left the station.

Someone pointed out to us that XL Media started the trend two weeks ago.

Sorry we're not hiring.  The average Gambling911.com employee has been with us for 15 years.  The only departures are when they die (Sparky Collins) or find Jesus (Jenny Woo).

Below you will find some who are hiring.

Mathew Snyder, CEO of Unabated, is looking.

"I was really sorry to hear about the layoffs at Better Collective. My intro to working in the sports betting industry was in 2018 when Action Network - A part of Better Collective was first formed, so I have a very special place in my heart for the folks at Action and Better Collective, through which I have made many long-lasting friendships. At Unabated Sports, we are growing and always looking for passionate people across all skill sets - engineering, data science, design, content, marketing, biz dev, you name it. If you’re looking for a fun, exciting, team-oriented, and mission-focused culture for your next thing, hit us up at jobs@unabated.com if you think we’d be a fit for you."

Of course there is this one from two weeks ago that threw us off a bit from one Kimberly YuhlKimberly Yuhl:

"Where are all my marketing friends? Catena Media is hashtaghiring. Know anyone who might be interested? Spread the word!"

Caesars Won't Pay Gambler $500K

It's the story is taking the internet by storm this day October 31 (you know what day it is - BOO).  Caesar's Won't Pay Player $500K After Snitching on Self for Using Beard.

Sure you may have read about this back in August when the incident occurred, but the story came back to life this Halloween like some ghastly ghoul.

We're not sure if some popular podcaster or web influencer brought the story back to the surface but by Thursday afternoon, it's become one of the most trafficked articles of the year thus far.

And Redditors have their own opinion.

In case you missed it...here you go.

Juan Soto Future Odds Include Next Team, Contract Amount

It's over.  Let the talks begin.

Juan Soto turned 26 on Friday and his present was not a win for the Yankees.

Soto’s future has been an ongoing story all season long. He had arguably his best season in the Bronx with a career-high in home runs and WAR.

He’s also raking during the postseason with an 1.106 OPS!

Will he be one and done in NY? The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag don’t seem to thinks so.

They have odds on if he returns to the Yankees, how much will he earn in his next contract, and where will he play if it’s not the Yankees.

Dodgers suddenly became the favorite after news they were in serious talks about landing Soto.
