The latest batch of cease and desist letters have gone out by The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB). Gambling911.com continues to urge its readers in Michigan to only patronize websites licensed and regulated by the MGCB.
31 Bets Casino, Betnuvo, and Jackpotter are the latest online casinos to have been sent the stern letters.
According to the Michigan Gaming Control Board, these companies were discovered to offer online gaming and sports betting services without the necessary authorization, breaching state laws that help maintain a regulated gaming market.
"Illegal online gambling sites operate without oversight, putting players at risk and undermining Michigan’s secure, regulated marketplace," said MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams in the statement obtained by the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
Only these sites are licensed by the MGCB:
- BetMGM
- DraftKings
- FanDuel
- BetRivers
- Caesars Sportsbook & Casino
- Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino
- Four Winds Casino
- FireKeepers Casino
- betPARX (Play Gun Lake)
- SI Sportsbook
- SI Sportsbook
The MGCB is currently waging a battle with prediction markets like Kalshi, who vow to continue accepting bets from those in Michigan despite not being explicitly licensed to do so by the state regulatory body. Instead, Kalshi notes it is legally regulated on the federal level courtesy of the rCommodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
