According to police, the suspect and victim had no contact with each other before the stabbing, with police labeling it as a "random incident."

When officers arrived on scene shortly after 1:30 am, they found the male with a stab wound to the neck. Despite life-saving measures, the victim was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was identified only as a man 29 years of age.

The 31-year-old suspect was booked into the King County Jail at about 8 a.m. on pending murder charges.

Neither of the men have been identified by name as of Sunday evening.

Auburn Police have vowed to uncover what drove the suspect to kill the gambler.

Police spokesperson Kolby Crossley detailed how the victim was unaware of their danger.

'It’s a scary and terrible situation that occurred and this person had no idea what was going to happen to them,' Crossley relayed.

Crossley told Fox13 the brutal stabbing 'happened at the casino on the casino floor'

'There were a lot of people around. There were a lot of cameras,' he said. The suspect was arrested at the scene 'without incident.'

The Muckleshoot Casino is located about 20 minutes east of Tacoma.  In addition to the casino, the venue features around a half dozen restaurants, including a steak house, and a hotel.  It is open 24 hours.

The casino is known for its 3,000 slot machines and multiple table games and receives mostly positive reviews on Google.

"The gaming room was great, and there is a good variety of food... I got a meatball sub at their pizza place that was AMAZING!!! Also ate a burger at another resteraunt (sic) that was great.  The gaming floor was awesome, I found my favorite games in there, and found some new ones... it was a great time!  Two thumbs way up from me!"

"I won $80 on Video Poker. I wouldn't say it was a vacation, since it's only 20 minutes from my house. Just a night of gambling & dinner with my HOT "friend" Victoria."

"I love it here. Other than the cigarette smoke killing my lungs and having to wait way too long to be served drinks. The atmosphere is very ornate with hair from every demo-graph. Their tables are pleasing and poker machines of every color. I’m sure you will find one that fits ur fix."

Of course there will always be a few haters amongst us.

"This place is absolutely a mess of a casino I have been here 8 years and have Never won anything over 200 dollars and someone who not betting half of what I am can come and win a ton of money! It’s a prejudice and bias against anyone of color ! Only certain people of Lighter skin wins it’s disgusting and disgraceful feeling and too be quiet frank I’m not understanding how it is not investigated for the paying it only certain individuals! When I say i don’t believe there’s anything that will ever lead me to spend money there ever again! You guys suck out if all the casino even tho they may be the oldest smh."
