Las Vegas Continues to Prove Why it is the Gambling Capital of the World

The proliferation of brick and mortar casinos all across the United States and around the world continues, but a recent article in the PlaySlots4RealMoney.com confirms what most true casino gamblers already knew; this desert oasis is still the top place to go when it comes to having fun. This Monday, US News &World Report released its list of the world’s top hotels, and 11 Las Vegas resorts made a list. The 11 “gold badge” winners place Las Vegas in a tie with Los Angeles as having the second-most properties ranked gold in the United States behind New York City with 24. The total list consisted of 231 rated hotels.

MGM Resorts International continues to lead the way in Las Vegas with six of the 11 gold winners. Wynn Resorts boasted two gold properties along with two from Las Vegas Sands. Caesars Entertainment’s top-ranked resort was the Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace. The rankings are based on a combination of expert and customer opinions according to overall reviews from both groups. Other gold winners in the US placed two properties in Hawaii, two in Chicago and one in Vermont. Worldwide, Italy boasted the most gold properties as a country and London garnered the most awards as a single city destination.

The highest-ranked property in Las Vegas was Mandarin Oriental followed by Aria Sky Suites. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas came in third with Encore and Wynn Las Vegas rounding out the top five gold winners. Sixth on the list was the Skylofts at MGM Grand followed by Four Seasons and the Bellagio. Eighth on the list was MGM’s Aria, and Palazzo was ranked 10th. The final Las Vegas “gold badge” winner was Trump International, and two additional properties on the list that earned silver awards were Delano Las Vegas and Red Rock Resort.

Las Vegas embodies the concept of fun and excitement as one of the top tourist destinations around the globe. Even if you never get a chance to stay at the ‘crème de la crème’ when it comes to luxurious resort accommodations, it is easy to enjoy everything this town has to offer while staying at any number excellent hotels.

This town is all about the experience even if you do not gamble with its glitz and glamour from one end of the strip to the other. If you do enjoy casino-style gambling or betting on your favorite sporting events, then there is an almost endless amount of choices to meet and most likely exceed any and all expectations.  If you have never been to Las Vegas, then it should move to the top of the list for any upcoming travel and vacation plans. If it has been awhile since you made a trip to ‘sin city’ then you are probably overdue for another escape from reality. If you are a Vegas regular, then you already know what we are talking about.
