The Atlantic City casino industry has been filled with quite a few highs and lows ever since real money gambling became legal in the Garden State close to 40 years ago. The famous Boardwalk in this South Jersey coastal town has under gone financial boons followed by bankruptcies and financial gloom, but things appear to be once again on the upswing with the opening of two brand new Atlantic City real money casino properties. The grand opening for Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Casino & Hotel is slated for June 28. According to a recent post on PlaySlots4RealMoney.com, the party that this company plans to bring to town should be one for the ages given the lineup of musical acts, celebrities and hard partying that is expected to take place the entire weekend.

Matt Harkness is the president and general manager of this latest Hard Rock Casino and he was quoted as saying, “I’ve been through a number of openings in my career. I told my employees that if you have or haven’t been through an opening before, this is one you’ll remember for the rest of your life.” He went on to add, “We are over the top booked up for parts of the weekend. We’re just excited for the big opening.”

The PlaySlots4RealMoney.com report refers to this as the “hard-charging buzz” that Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is trying to generate throughout this grand opening celebration. It has been said that when Hard Rock opens a new casino, it is looking to “smash some guitars” as opposed to just cutting a ribbon. As part of the planned celebration at the once defunct Trump Taj Mahal that has undergone a $500 million renovation is music and lots of it. Headliners Carrie Underwood and Pit Bull are already locked in for Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30. Thursday’sfestivities are focused mainly on DAER, which is Hard Rock’s nightclub. The club has announced a special appearance by “Black Panther” and the star of “Creed”, Michael B. Jordan.

When the June 28 grand opening was first announced back in April, Hard Rock also listed dozens of musical acts that will be performing at this location’s 7,000-seat arena throughout the rest of the year. Ticket sales for those events went on sale at that time and the sales have been brisk to say the least. Harkness added, “We’ve already sold millions and millions of dollars worth of tickets. We have Carrie Underwood and Maroon 5, Toby Keith and it goes on and on. We’re bringing something unique.” The current plans call for 300 shows in the first year according to PlaySlots4RealMoney.com.
June 28 is the planned grand opening, but Harkness expects the casino to be fully open to the betting public before that date. Workers continue to work the punch list with finishing touches to hotel rooms, 20 restaurants and the 120,000 square-foot real money casino floor. This will consist of 2,100 slot machines and 120 table games. The other Atlantic City casino busy preparing for its grand opening is the Ocean Resort Casino making this boardwalk town the place to be all summer long
