If the old adage holds true, the Wolverines will be crowned as this year's College Football Playoff national champions.

An infomap created by sportsbook displays which of the four CFP qualifiers each state is backing to take home the title.

To be precise, the results show which team "the majority" of BetOnline's customers from each U.S. state are betting on.

It was a tight race, but Michigan earned 20 total states, including Nevada. Georgia is a close second with 19 states siding with the Bulldogs.
