Two people were injured Sunday morning when a silver Jeep crashed through the glass doors by the elevators leading into the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh.
Police, Fire and EMS responded to scene for a reported crash into the building from Level 4 of the casino parking garage.
The incident occurred on the fourth floor of the parking garage shortly after 4 am, Pittsburgh Public Safety Department said in a Facebook post.
Medics took a man and woman to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries..
The Jeep fled the scene but police were able to obtain a license plate number.
The casino remained open.
Additional details were not known as of Sunday night. This is an ongoing investigation.
This is the second high profile incident that has occurred at the casino in so many months.
Last month, thirty-nine-year-old Ira Gibson of Pittsburgh was given a lifetime ban from that casino after an incident of disorderly conduct.
Gibson had left a slot machine to go to the restroom at 3:20 a.m. and found sixty-three-year-old John Stillwaggon of Coraopolis sitting at that slot machine.
Gibson pushed Stillwaggon forcibly from the stool of the slot machine and almost knocked Stillwaggon to the ground.
Gibson was given a lifetime ban from Rivers Casino and was ejected and escorted off of the Pittsburgh property and a summary charge was also filed against him.
