Can't Bet on Players Not to Score in Colorado Any Longer

Colorado regulators are cracking the whip on player prop bets.

Jeffrey Benson of Circa Sports confirmed the other day his company was notified by Colorado regulators in regard to their new policy.

"We got word today from Colorado Gaming that we can’t offer players NOT to score however that won’t change the prices/limits on the Yes prices. We look forward to the chance to EARN your business. Cheers!"

Fair Play Initiative posted on Twitter.

"Colorado Division of Gaming took a moral stance against 100+ betting markets yesterday. Most of the 147 markets were removed primarily for being too 'negative.' Don't worry; you can still bet on a player to hit "Under 0.5 HRs", just not 'to a HR - No.' This leaves the door..."

Last year, Colorado banned college player props across all sports for betting purposes.

D Bales, responded to Fair Play Initiative's tweet by suggesting there is more at play here than simply looking out for the bettor's best interests.

"They’re more worried about semantics than they are the myriad of unethical practices that Colorado books to employ; I.e, bet365 changing the odds on a bet after it has already settled. Sounds about right."

Mookie added: "It’s completely absurd that these regulatory bodies have no idea what they’re doing amd even more so use absolutely no commensense.  My 7 year old could figure this out."
