Round 1 of the 2026 NBA Draft took place last night with very few surprises. Round 2 happens Wednesday night.
The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag have opened up odds for who will be the first pick of the second round (currently held by the Knicks).
Additionally, they have opened odds for the 2026-27 NBA Rookie of the Year. Since only two second round picks have ever won the award (the last being Malcom Brogdon ten years ago), they feel safe opening the odds without any second-round picks.
This century, only nine out of 26 years has the No. 1 overall pick won the Rookie of the Year in the year they were drafted (Blake Griffin and Ben Simmons both won, but not in the year they were drafted).
So, it’s not a major surprise that AJ Dybantsa is not the favorite.
