Poker pro and co-owner Doug Polk confirmed the charges were dropped following a March 10 raid and closure of the popular Lodge Card Club
Seized funds and equipment will also be returned
"The Grand Jury in Williamson county heard the allegations against us, and refused to authorize proposed charges," Polk reported
Poker pro and co-owner of The Lodge Card Club in Round Rock, Texas, just outside of Austin, announced late Tuesday that all charges against himself and the venue have been dropped.
The popular poker club faced a legal crisis following a March 10, 2026, raid by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) over allegations of illegal gambling and money laundering.
The state also frozen much of the club's financial assets and bank accounts.
Prosecutors dropped the money laundering charges on April 12.
The affidavit pertaining to last month's raid and closure of venue co-owned by pro player Doug Polk revealed some interesting developments that included, but were not limited, to:
Texas Penal Code 71.02(a) - ENGAGING IN ORGANIZED CRIMINAL ACTIVITY
Texas Penal Code 34.02 - MONEY LAUNDERING
Texas Penal Code 47.03 - PROMOTION OF GAMBLING
Texas Penal Code 47.04 - KEEPING A GAMBLING PLACE
Texas Penal Code 47.06 - POSSESSION OF GAMBLING DEVICE, EQUIPMENT OR PARAPHERNALIA
Poker wrote on his X feed:
All charges against myself, my partners, and the Lodge have been officially rejected.
The seized money and equipment will be returned and we will reopen as quickly as possible, hopefully within a few weeks.
The Grand Jury in Williamson county heard the allegations against us, and refused to authorize proposed charges.
Justice has prevailed.
The damage to our staff and members has been tremendous, and it is now time to rebuild.
We will be putting together a kickoff event in the near future.
