It's difficult to imagine two strong name brands like the iPoker Network and long time British bookmaker Victor Chandler finding themselves in the midst of a PR nightmare, but that is exactly what the two companies must now endure after search engine notices began popping up that Victor's VC Poker brand (hosted on the iPoker Network) has begun showing certain poker players the exit.

The IPN Network (International Poker Network) is going through a campaign to help liquidity and save its soul from the big boys, reports Lucky Room.

"VC Poker threw out its winning players, not to mention that a series of ipoker facing skins will be soon announcing merges or padlocks on their sites," that site added.

Poker News confirmed that emails were being sent to winning players, showing them the door.

VC Poker have sent an e-mail to members informing them that several of their "winning player" accounts will be closed to avoid the penalties which iPoker rooms incur if they have a high proportion of winning players.

The "Sharks vs Fish" policy has left many poker players stunned and searching for a new online poker home in 2010. Many VC Poker cash game regulars opened the following email this morning:

"If you are not already aware, iPoker will be implementing a new policy in the New Year which will categorize players depending upon certain criteria. The new policy will impose penalties on card rooms that in essence have a high proportion of winning players in relation to losing players."
