The First State, Delaware, will live up to its nick when it becomes the first US state to offer real money online gambling to its residents.

To date, Nevada has offered real money Web poker but is prohibited from offering other forms of online gambling.  Delaware will feature other casino games such as blackjack and slots.  New Jersey is set to launch real cash Internet gambling by the end of November.

Scientific Games and 888 Holdings will act as exclusive vendors.  Delaware is expected to rely heavily on multi-state compacts due to its nominal population of just under 1 million people.
