Sportsbook.ag, the largest North American facing online sportsbook in terms of volume of customers, has entered the Daily Fantasy Sports market.

The popular site just debuted its DFS platform via a beta launch. One must sign up with Sportsbook.ag to participate.

The top prizes will be minimal as will the number of contests until more interest can be generated.  Sportsbook.ag’s $5 MLB Monday 50/50, as an example, features a $108 prize with a $10 entry fee capped off at just 12 players.

Sportsbook.ag already has a ready-made customer base that can compete with the top players in the industry.  And while DraftKings and FanDuel may be the undisputed giants in Daily Fantasy Sports, those two companies have failed to realize a profit thus far whereas Sportsbook.ag is considered one of the most profitable companies in online gambling.

Last month, the company became the first to offer real money eSports wagering to those living in North America.

While online gambling companies currently view Daily Fantasy Sports platforms as loss leaders, they also see the potential for driving business through expansive marketing across all verticals, something not possible with online gambling products in most jurisdictions.  Fantasy Sports are legal under US federal law.
