South Point Poker is hoping to become the first real money online poker site based in the United States to begin taking bets.

CardPlayer.com noted Wednesday that the company was actively seeking out software developers, graphic artists and customer service reps and supervisors via its website’s “Job Openings” section.

South Point Poker, which was the first online poker site licensed by the Nevada Gaming Commission, is operated by the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. It is one of a number of hotel/casino operators in the state looking to offer online poker.

“We are recruiting the very best talent to join our new online gaming company,” Michael Gaughan, owner of the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, said in a statement. “South Point Poker has allowed us to not only create jobs in Las Vegas but provide new and exciting career opportunities for Nevada’s economy.”

17 positions are currently available.
