Oregon Bookies - Portland, Eugene, Corvalis: It’s All About GoDucks

Oregon bookies are everywhere with plenty of business throughout the state thanks to its high profile college football programs.  Looking for a bookie in the state of Oregon?  RealBookies may be able to set you up with a trusted local.

At center stage is the Oregon Ducks, who are among the favorites to win the inaugural College Football Championship in 2015.  They play at the University of Oregon located in Eugene, and you better believe there are plenty of sports bar in that college town where bookies hang out plying their trade.  Wetlands Brew Pub, Sixth Street Grill, Game Day Sports Bar and Sidelines Grill are just a few of the sports bars that grace the area around campus.

Pool halls are another place where bookies love hanging out.  You’ll find them on any given day or night at Luckey’s Club and The Break, right near the University campus.

Corvalis is another big college town and home of Oregon State Univeristy and the Beavers, who are long shots to win anything significant in 2014 outside of a possible secondary Bowl game appearance.

There are of course plenty of sports bars around town the likes of Upper Deck, Flat Tail Brewing and Suds & Suds.  There is also a Buffalo Wildwings.

Portland is the biggest city in Oregon and is within an hour-and-a-half of Oregon State University and just shy of two hours from the University of Oregon.  You will find plenty of fans of both schools in this exciting city.

Portland itself is home to two professional sports teams – NBA’s Trailblazers and Major League Soccer’s Timbers.  Arena Football has also expanded into Portland.

Sports bars in the city include 4-4-2, Hedge House, Over And Out, George’s Corner Tavern and Lil’ Cooperstown Pub.

While there haven’t been a whole lot of high profile prosectutions against bookmakers in the state of Oregon in recent years, the activity is still considered a felony.  Sports betting itself is a misdemeanor.  Many local bookies hedge their bets by utilizing the vast number of Pay Per Heads available.  These companies handle a sportsbook’s business offshore utilizing a legal high tech call center model capable of handling several hundred players under a single bookmaker.  The only thing a PPH shop does not engage in are financial transactions.
