Maltese police are in the process of investigating a now defunct online poker room network that included websites BetOnBet, Eurolinx and Linx Casino, who shut down following the liquidation of parent company Linx Media Company.

Eurlinx in particular has a familiar ring to Gambling911.com readers as a poker site at the center of a controversy surrounding online payment platform PIC Club.

PIC Club had hired noted gaming attorney Frank Catania to recover funds from a failed online poker venture.

Eurolinx announced in August that it was going into liquidation, following in the past of several other online poker rooms that have shut down in the past year.

Eurolinx was part of the Microgaming Online Poker platform.  To date, Microgaming has not offered any assistance in this matter.

Many complaints have been written and the sudden closure cast a black eye upon an otherwise well regarded online gambling jurisdiction of Malta.
