AUGUSTA, Maine (Associated Press) — Final approval of an expanded gambling area at Maine’s newest casino is being considered by the state Gambling Control Board.

At its regular meeting Tuesday, the board will consider approving an expansion to the Oxford Casino, which opened in June in the western Maine town of Oxford.

The casino now has 529 slot machines and 12 table games including blackjack, craps and roulette.

It’s hoping to add 10 more table games and hundreds more slot machines in October.
