Antigua-based Intertops has re-entered the U.S. market after exiting in 2011.  The site features a popular sportsbook, online casino and poker room.

Intertops, an Austrian-owned company, has the distinction of being the first ever online gambling site.  It has held a license on the island of Antigua for 20 years now. The company has a reputation for fast payouts and few complaints.

It is not immediately clear why Intertops chose now to re-enter the U.S. market though some suggest it has to do with a more friendlier stance being taken towards sports betting by both the NBA and MLB in addition to the influx of daily fantasy sports sites that have cropped up in recent months, all of which mimic actual sports betting.

Intertops left the U.S. market due to payment processing issues that at one point crippled the online gambling sector.
