Curfew for Crime Boss Tied to Two Homicides Relaxed As Wife is Set to Get New Ki

Crime boss Rocco Arico has had his strict curfew relaxed from 9 pm to 6 am to 1 am to 5 am following news that his wife is about to undergo a kidney transplant.

Arico is alleged to have connections to the murders of two fellow mobsters including former associate Carl Williams and another man, Dino Dibra.  Police in Melbourne, Australia also claim he threatened to kill a former friend and harm the man's wife and other family members unless he paid off a $100,000 drug debt.  They also say he assaulted a witness at his home last September and threatened to destroy the home of the man’s father.

Arico, 36, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday facing a number of charges that include extortion with threat to kill, extortion with threat to inflict serious injury, extortion with threat to property, unwarranted demand with menaces, blackmail, intentionally cause serious injury, recklessly cause serious injury, unlawful assault, possession of ammunition, possess the drug GHB, and deal with proceeds of crime.

Arico is billed by authorities as a "career criminal" who had built his wealth through drug trafficking and gambling.
