While many folks would love to bet on the Aaron Hernandez murder trial, none of the online bookmakers are offering such odds at this time.

On August 22, 2013, the former New England Patriots standout was indicted by a grand jury for the murder of Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro football player, in July 2013. On May 15, 2014, Hernandez was also indicted for the 2012 murders of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado. Hernandez has maintained his innocence.

On Tuesday February 3, one of the jurors was dismissed.

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power learned a lesson the hard way last year when it offered odds on the Oscar Pistorius murder trial.  The South African paraplegic runner was found guilty of negligent in the 2013 death of his wife model Reeva Steenkamp.

Paddy Power was accused of exploiting the murder trial while offering bets tied, not just to murder, but violence against women.

As if that weren’t bad enough, Paddy also insulted those with disabilities across the board by featuring advertisements of the paraplegic runner with the caption “Will He Walk?”
